Other commonly found insects in your compost include pillbugs aka roly poly beetles, millipedes, centipedes, ants, cockroaches and other beetles.
Ants are usually an indication that your compost is dry and needs to be turned. They are not bad but they may interfere with maintenance or use of the finished compost. Turn and water the compost more frequently if you see a lot of ants.
